	Do prepare to be hung for creating this type of quiz. I did enjoy it, although you did spell Trammell wrong. My biggest gripe is your choice of names. I see some of these people who made your list, and the first and so far only name I can personally come up with is Andre Dawson. He should be here. Alomar ahead of Jeter? I am a Bagwell fan, but ahead of Rose, Yaz, Griffey and a slew of other HOFers is one of many questionable calls here

	Andre Dawson is a very overrated player in my opinion. A .323 career OBP is awful. Jeter has slightly better offensive numbers, but Alomar had more speed and was better defensively. I view Griffey as an overrated player, because his best years were good, but not great. Bagwell's OBP is 40 points higher than griffey, and 30 points higher than Yaz. Even when you adjust Yaz's numbers, Bagwell has far higher slugging percentages, and OBPs. Bagwell had the advantage over Rose in power and on base skills, while Rose led in defense, and not much else.

	I'd rather be dead than have Bonds be rated on ANYTHING above some of the greatest of all times.

	I always enjoy huge lists like this. I was surprised not to see Maury Wills or Satchel Paige make the cut, though.

	But WAR does judge the player based on other players in the season. So it can be used in other eras than this one

	greasytony, OBP in 1987 was higher than OBP today. K/9 on the other hand, was far lower when Cy Young played than it was today. Also, considering that closers are a low percentage of total pitchers, the list has a reasonable amount of them. killerbill, it's tough to compare relief pitchers to starters. They pitch far, far fewer innings. Even if you include leverage, Rivera doesn't compare to the starters who are ahead of him. And Rose and Robinson never had years approaching Pujols' years. I was honestly surprised by Torre making it on this list. But he has a career 297/365/452 line as a catcher in a pitchers era. He has a career 128 OPS+, higher than Fisk, Carter, Bench, or Berra. Now, that's impressive.

	Ranking Griffey 19 spots below Giambi is absurd. Not counting his injury-marred 1995, Griffey had seven straight 40 homer seasons and his lowest OBP (which you value so highly) in that stretch was .365. And don't forget that in 1995 he hit five homers in a playoff series for Seattle. Griffey also had more steals just in 1999 than Giambi has in his whole career. But in those years, Griffey was merely good, not great, according to you. Certainly not as great as the mighty Giambi. Wow.

	Sporcloid, I didn't rate any negro league players because of the lack of statistics on so many of them. Paige, Gibson, and Charleston were certainly some of the greatest players of all time, but I can't claim to come up with an accurate rating based on having a small percentage of their numbers, and anecdotes. CinCitySportsMan, I rated this based on stats alone. Statistically speaking, Bonds had some of the greatest seasons of all time.

	myach, you're not being consistent in your arguments. You praise Alomar for his speed and defense, yet you completely discount these factors when discussing Dawson and Griffey. In a modern, fantasy stat-head sense, Giambi may have been a better hitter, but Dawson and Griffey were far superior all-around players.

	I also disagree with Jason Giambi being rated higher than Ken Griffey Jr. Griffey has hit above .300 eight times compared to Giambi's 4. Comparing their 162 game averages Griffey bests Giambi in Runs (101-94), Hits (169-153), Doubles (32-31), Triples (2-1), Homeruns (38-33), RBI (111-109), Stolen Bases (11-2), Strikeouts (108-114), Batting Average (.284-.282), Slugging (.538-,524) Total Bases (320-284) . Even in both players average seasons Griffey puts up better numbers than Giambi in most offensive categories on top of the fact that Griffey played a tougher fielding position and didn't DH until his final 2 season where as Giambi began slitting his time between DH in 2002 and was primarily a DH starting in 2006. BTW everyones entitled to their own opinions I'm just supporting mine is all. No disrespect, you put alot of time into this quiz and its alot better than the other All-time ranking based on opinion.

	Interesting list. I would not put Clemens as high as you do. He was a great pitcher. But the second greatest of all time? There are others I think are ranked too high or too low, too many to name. There are also some that I wouldn't have put on the list at all. I would be interested in what stats you based this on.

	you gotta have some kind of formula. You can't just arbitrarily list players. And to echo what many others have said, Griffey is obv ahead of Giambi and it's not even close. You are so hung up on OBP that you don't realize how much more valuable Griffey was in literally EVERY other aspect of the game (defense, baserunning, etc.) Giambi had a tremendous 3 or 4 year peak at the dish, but at the end of the day he's a slightly better Adam Dunn. Great eye, great power, nothing else.

	Oh, almost forgot to mention that ranking Giambi ahead of fellow first basemen Mize, Greenberg, Murray, Anson, etc... There are so many thing wrong about this list but it would take all day to list them. You must have started watching baseball in 2003 if you think there was ever a day that Lance Berkman or Jason Giambi were better baseball players than Paul Molitor and Charlie Gehringer.

	You seem to make no adjustments for where a player fits on the defensive spectrum. Whatever Giambi's on base advantages over Griffey in a much shorter peak you neglect to take into account that offensive standards for 1st basemen/DH's are much higher than they are for center fielders.

	Cy Young has the most wins of all time by almost 100...I don't think Alex Rodriguez deserves a higher spot than him...then again, I don't think Alex Rodriguez deserves a higher spot than numbers 20 through 200.

	I think this list is too skewed towards players from the last 60 years. The deadball era players will not rank as high is some of the accepted statistics of today. I do have a soft spot for any list that ranks my favorite player, Bobby Murcer (whom I missed!)

	I like adding some of the younger players based on what they have shown they can do so far. Not sure about Wright though and I'm a Mets fan. No Christy Matthewson? 373 career wins and basically strapped John McGraw's Giants to his back for ten+ seasons, near as I can find his batting average against was .234. Not bad, dead ball era of turn of the century or not. Also, I understand the Piazza call but I can't handle him being the top ranked catcher just because he was AWFUL (as low as 11% runners caught stealing and an overall horrendous receiver) behind the plate. Johnny Bench only hit .267 for the career but that was also in the 70's, and he threw out upwards of 40%. Mickey Cochrane comes in at .320 career average, .419 OBP, thre out 38% of runners. Low home run numbers are really the only knock on him, and it wasn't a Merry-go-Round on the bases when he was catching (Piazza gave up 1400 stolen bases over his career!). I'll get off my soapbox now, I was a catcher growing up sorry.

	And you want stats to back Rice up, how about this - From 1975 to 1986, Rice led the AL in total games played, at bats, runs scored, hits, homers, RBIs, slugging average, total bases, extra base hits, go-ahead RBIs, multi-hit games, and outfield assists. Again, what a joke of a list.
