I think what Tahnan means is that there's no context for this word. English? Common? etc. etc. I was expecting that old canard, antidisestablishmentarianism.

Don't certain languages have infinitely long words (I seem to remember numbers in German are joined up as one word...) so you need to clarify English...and things such as the tobacco mosaic have chemical names of over 1000 letters so if you go as obscure as that...yeah...

I suppose you could say "the longest word in the Oxford English Dictionary" as I think that's where this "record" comes from.

well i actually knew the longest word, but could not spell it.... perhaps you could change the format to the one like the mary poppins supercal etc. song quiz, where you guess one letter at a time?
