| Sorry, murfdirt, but this one needs some work. I couldn't get New Hampshire to work for the Fisher Cats, nor Carolina to work for the Mudcats, nor Arkansas or Northwest Arkansas. Also, the Carolina Mudcats aren't in Raleigh, they're in Zebulon, NC. Also, "Atletics" should be "Athletics, of course."
Another nit to pick - you have to put in Carolina (Raleigh) to get it right? Just go with Carolina. Despite what Thosaurus says even though they aren't "cities" that's the team location most minor league fans are going to be familiar with. Go with that, or it's a slipper slope to ever pickier definitions of where a team is, precisely.
You should also tell what level of team you're looking at for the Mets-Mets, Braves-Braves, and Cardinals-Cardinals questions as the Mets, Braves, and Cardinals have multiple teams in their farm system with the same name as the parent organization (Binghamton Mets, St. Lucie Mets, and Kingsport Mets; Gwinnett Braves, Mississippi Braves, Rome Braves, Danville Braves; Springfield Cardinals, Palm Beach Cardinals, Johnson City Cardinals).
Lastly, your affiliations are no longer correct in some cases as the teams shifted affiliations in the last round of PDC renewals in 2008. The Carolina Mudcats are now affiliated with the Reds, the Chattanooga Lookouts are with the Dodgers, and the Jacksonville Suns are with the Marlins. Hope this helps improve this quiz! |
