You need to change Radon to Radium in the 'Carbon Radon Boron..' clue. Other than that, nice.

Some odd choices: Gateau, Prawns, Cheesy Corn, Crabsticks? You could have used Spinach, Sushi, Almond, Calamari, Parsnip, Scallion, French Onion Soup, and so many others. Other than the few oddities, good quiz.

Tungsten is spelled wrong. Also, there is nowhere near enough time on this quiz.

Shouldn't it be LASAGNA, not LASAGNE? Yes, lasagne is the plural form, but the dish - at least in the US - is called lasagna. Is it called lasagne in the UK?

I bombed but thought it really clever and fun. Can anyone explain cheesy corn to those of us who are dumbfounded? I got to chees... then y and figured I had something wrong. Similar question about crab sticks, thought I assume it's just fish sticks with crab meat. I'd probably have reversed them to be crab cake and fish sticks--much more common in my experience and according to the 100+ cookbooks in my kitchen, but could well be regional issues. Fun idea but I would have appreciated more time as well.

Thanks for all the comments, everybody. Sorry it's a bit tight on the time - hard to know what's ideal. (I'm not a chemist myself, or even a scientist, but just have a good memory for the periodic table from school days, I guess.) Sorry about some of the obscure foods - chose them because they amused me mainly, especially 'cheesy corn', which I've never eaten and not sure I want to... Crabsticks are a bit of a British thing from the 80s. My sister was mad for them. I heard that they don't actually contain any crab, so have to be called 'crab-flavoured sticks' by law these days.

Switch it to crab cakes and fish sticks and that will solve two of the problem spots anyway.

Though I don't necessarily agree with it, I'll accept "Aluminium" as the correct spelling because the IUPAC says it is. However, they also say that "Sulfur" is the correct spelling.

I scored a zero. An example in the directions would be useful, though I should've suspected I was overthinking it. I was searching for Sodium Chloride Hydrogen Oxygen so that I could answer "salt water."

Cheesy corn is popcorn coated with cheese-flavored powder, like the stuff in boxed macaroni and cheese. It's okay, not my favorite, but I wouldn't eat it every day. I got bacon and beer right away from one of my other favorite sites, ThinkGeek. Great quiz, that was lots of fun!

Aluminium/Aluminum - Sulphur/Sulfur. Like all great compromises and treaties, everyone is waiting for the other side. I don't see the US in any hurry to change over to Aluminium, but then I haven't seen many people in the UK pushing the move to adopt sulfur as the correct spelling.

I am afraid I cannot change the time limit now that the game has been published - only the Sporcle administrators can do that now, so you would have to email them and put in a request.
