nice quiz, but the listing has some real oddities. Like having Axl Rose and Thom Yorke, but no Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan or Bruce Dickinson. LOL. BTW, it's Eric BURDON - not Bourdon.

Freddie is better than the #1 definitely.

This is why rolling stone sucks. I typed in Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen as my first two then quit playing in protest. They are two of my favorite musicians of all time but neither are good singers. What is Rolling Stone using to measure a good singer?? Obviously not vocal talent. Bob Dylan #7??

I agree with Starstruck (about Rose, not Yorke). Rob Halford should also be higher than Rose.

Axl Rose is actually a great technical singer with a really wide vocal range (listen to his singing on Mr. Brownstone if you don't believe me). Seriously, though, Bob Dylan but no Ronnie James Dio or Barry Gibb?

Pretty typical of Rolling Stone. There's always a few favorites that are high-ranking no matter what they do. Lennon was good, but seventeen people ahead of Freddie Mercury?

Springsteen is a great singer and absolutely deserves to be here. Can't be surprised that they would put Dylan on there, but 7 is far beyond ridiculous for someone with no notable vocal talent.

I don't see how Paul McCartney ranks so high. Dude is totally unremarkable as a vocalist. I don't get all the attacks on Dylan. Dylan's voice makes a lot of those songs. Is there any cover of "Like a Rolling Stone," say, that comes anywhere near to Dylan's?

Yes, you can argue against both of them. Dylan may be a great artist, but he can't carry a tune in a bucket. Is Rolling Stone actually ranking singers, or are they ranking Rolling Stone magazine's defintion of what is good rock?
