actually, while Philip Glass was in the cast of The Truman Show, performing a song he had written, he did not compose the score for it. The score is credited to Burkhard von Dallwitz

Carmine Coppola should also be accepted for The Godfather. My guess is several other of these films have multiple composers.

Awesome. Some of the movie choices are a little strange, though. Like "Frost/Nixon" for Hans Zimmer. "The Lion King" would make a lot more sense there. But I'm not going to complain too much. You did a nice job here.

Hey, everybody on Limewire. John Williams did not score everything. Stop attributing him to everything. All these guys deserve major credit. Especially The Right Stuff's composer, as it is probably the most underrated film score. Thank you.

I'm surprised Michael Kamen isn't in here.

Hmm... Basil Poledouris would certainly deserve to be on this list. He did lots of great scores.

Great quiz. I would like to have seen Morricone on here also (The Untouchables is amazing), but there are plenty left for a sequel....

Randy N's cousin Thomas is my favorite: The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Little Women, Road to Perdition, Finding Nemo, etc.

What, no RZA? (Not an actual criticism, though "Kill Bill" is awesome.)

Great quiz. It's a bit of a shame more people didn't get Gone With the Wind's composer. He was truly one of the greats and paved the way for a lot of these other guys.

Need some Michael Giacchino (Incredibles, Ratatouille), Tom Newman, Morricone for sure, Hermann, and the Coens' main man, Carter Burwell. Great quiz nonetheless.

Wow, hard quiz. Patrick Doyle's score of Henry V is brilliant - I'm not sure how well known he is for other stuff.

Definitely need another one, all credit to Tiomkin and Herrmann. And my under-represented favorite: Maurice Jarre (Dr. Zhivago).

Nice quiz, but needs some more greats included (listed above). Also, the title of this quiz is bizarre: since when are the SCORES to "Frost/Nixon", "Nell" and 2005's "King Kong" FAMOUS???

IMO, Michael Kamen wrote the best movie theme: main title to Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
