| @awt6, you're right of course, but French Guiana is even more than an overseas territory of France, it's an overseas department of France, that is, an integral part of France, in the same way that Hawaii, an overseas state, is an integral part of the United States. The French Guianese, as part of France, vote in French elections, participate in the EU, vote for members of the European Parliament, and use the Euro for their currency. It may be a trick question, but it's true. |
