Mario's homeland is Brooklyn. Remember? He found a secret warp pipe while workin' on a drain.

It's sad that more than half the people that played this quiz don't know who Miyamoto is.

@fierce_deity: A lot more of them probably knew Miyamoto but couldn't spell it correctly.

The only one I didn't get was 'Italian', but that was because I'm only 13, and therefore did not know what the word 'ethnicity' actually meant. Great quiz!

@cappy, the Yoshi's Island series seems to retcon that. He's been in the Mushroom Kingdom from the start there. And unless the old manuals said something to the effect of him being from Brooklyn, I imagine that's largely a creation of the television series and movie.

Wait, at 13 you don't know what ethnicity means?!? And this quiz is super easy for anybody who would call themselves even a partial gamer.

You need to specify the occupation question, because, at first, I thought you meant his old occupation, back in Donkey Kong where he was a carpenter. Be specific, take both answers or make a second question

Perhaps "Super Mushroom" should be accepted for Most Common Power-Up? Also loved that Brooklyn was accepted for Homeland!

Never knew the name of the woman Mario saved in Donkey Kong. Also, you should accept flower for the fiery power up. I didn't even think to put fire flower...however if that is technically the name then I apologize.

Actually, I'm impressed that 10%+ knew of Pauline. I think Mario's last name would have been a good head-slapper of a question too.

I tried Paula. That wasn't exactly one I knew by heart, but it was apparently rattling around in my brain somewhere. I of course couldn't forget Mr. Miyamoto. I have great respect for that man.
