Good quiz, but 8 minutes is a bit long. I'd say 2-3 minutes is plenty.

Great quiz and I got all the answers in 2:34. I suspect if I had not managed it the 8 minutes would be ample to type every state so I think if you reduced the time to 4 or 3 minutes it would be awesome. Kudos!

Missing Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, all located on Great Lakes coastline. Yes, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recognizes Great Lakes shores as being coastlines. Example: http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/pubs/brochures/Coastlines.pdf

This should be one minute. It took me 1:13, because I was trying the great lakes.

Sure, it is obvious once you start guessing Great Lakes states, but it doesn't say that up front.

The quiz is nice, but it's at least the sixth time it's been done (literally). Searching for past quizzes isn't foolproof, but worth doing before you put in the effort.

Way too much time and you need to specify U.S. states.

I have to agree here. Should be two minutes, that is plenty of time. Also have a coastline not touch a coastline.

This is one of the easiest quizzes on Sporcle because if you know your states, you're going to ace this quiz. Also, because of the 8-minute time slot.
