The two things that surprised me were that Vida Blue didn't lead in any of the triple crown categories in 1971 and that Orel Hershiser didn't in 1988.

deej: sutcliffe added - he wasn't there cause he was traded between leagues that year. also sporcle doesn't like my multiple mlbdarinh, nfldarinh and nbadarinh sports accounts for now so my comments were deleted and creation disabled for now at least - more quizzes coming as soon as I can!
