Some great names here: Home Run Baker, Heinie Manush, High Pockets Kelly, Arky Vaughn, and Debs Garms to name a few.

thx guys - apparently sporcle doesn't want me having my multiple mlbdarinh, nfldarinh and nbadarinh accounts for now, so my comments on those have been deleted and creation abilities disabled...have more quizzes ready to go either in June or whenever they are enabled again!

Just because they allow 300 entries in a quiz doesn't mean you should use it.

In 1990 Eddie Murray actually had the highest overall batting average at .330. Willie McGee hit .335 in NL then his average dropped to .324 when traded to the A's.

Good quiz. I think I would like it better though if this was split up into three different quizzes. For me, it is just too long.

So how many other people got all those Gavvy Cravath answers by guessing Williams, seeing "Wally Pipp, Dave Robertson, Cy Williams," guessing Robertson, seeing "Gavvy Cravath, Dave Robertson," and then guessing Cravath?

Something odd happened to me. I tried Belle, Dimaggio, Stargell, Wilson, Greenberg and the quiz did not accept any of these. While I could understand a possible misspelling on my part for one of them, there's no way I spelled all of them wrong. I went back and tried them again and the quiz did not accept them the first time, but did when I cleared it and tried again...

Great quiz. One correction - Mark Mcgwire led MLB in homeruns in 1997. He had 58 in total for the As and Cardinals.
