Sixty seconds is a tough one, but it's fun! A few pointers: alumin_i_um should be accepted as an alternate answer, and element 111 (unununium) is officially roentgenium.

Aluminium is actually the official spelling, I believe. And Ununnillium is Darmstadtium. 39, almost got 38 but was fortunate enough to recall Tin as my last one.

It should accept caesium and sulphur. I typed caesium in about half way through and didn't realise it hadn't accepted it until I'd typed another two in and by that stage I had wasted far too much time.

I think it should be like the official elements quiz, and include all up to 118 (ununoctium).

though I was upset there was no ununoctium, I was probably more upset at myself for guessing that in place of many others.

keep making these quizzes miyomiyo. It's interesting to see how much harder it is to think under time pressure. P.S. You are a sporcle god. Sometimes I think about where in the world the creator of the 60 second blitz quizzes is, and then I realize you're probably off slaying dragons or beating up Chuck Norris.

Great idea - but not having perfectly legitimate spellings like "Aluminium" and "Sulphur" is really messing me up. Add them as alternates and this would be perfect!

"Caesium" is a legitimiate alternative to "Cesium", could do with adding that ;)

1 minute is too long - all I needed was 15 seconds to type the 5 elements that I could remember.

To the 0.4 percent of people who put in "Praseodymium" in a one minute speed quiz, what the hell were you thinking?!

kudos to the 0.1% of people who got 58-62 elements! I'm barely able to type a letter a second let alone an element.

to HarryP--mostly random names of elements. that one happened to come up and wouldn't go away until I entered it. I got 49 overall, so the length wasn't too much of a hamper

That's the problem with trying to master the elements quiz, the less common ones stick out in your mind because you spent the most time trying to memorize them. See also Solomon Islands in the country blitz.

38 total; mistyping is the hardest part for me, east to rush and mess up. For typing, definitely go about this quiz the Navy Seal way ---Fast is slow, slow is quick, quick is smooth.--- Darmstadium yo=.3%

I got Einsteinium but forgot gold, copper, and tin. Regardless of how much time you have you'd have to be Rain Man to be able to get all of them (unless you cheat)

I like this kind of quiz because the results page is real. Unless someone was to be a jerk and macro the elements, you can't really cheat to get all of the answers...

is it bad to try to skew the results by opening the results page in a new window and then retaking the quiz by typing in the answers, starting from the least guessed?? only trouble is it's then hard to get a good score because those are, obviously, the longest and hardest to spell.
