| The letter "y" in Egypt functions as a vowel (i.e., the "and sometimes y" rule), so Egypt probably should not be on the list. That said, if it stays on the list, then Cyprus and Kyrgyzstan should be added too. The "y" in Yemen is more consonant-like than vowel-like. They "y" in Myanmar and in Seychelles is borderline in both cases. The "w" in Rwanda is interesting. It's sort of acting both like a consonant and a vowel. But still, I think it should be on the answer list; everybody thinks of it as a consonant. |
