There are no "official" languages of the United States at the federal level. According to Wikipedia: "English is the official language of at least 28 states—some sources give a higher figure, based on differing definitions of "official".[6] English and Hawaiian are both official languages in the state of Hawaii." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_states#endnote_engoffbox

Sorry, Mickey, but the quiz isn't about the federal level, and Wikipedia is not a reliably accurate source.

Whether or not Wikipedia is reliable, mickey is still correct- there is no official national language. Now, that's not to say that the quiz is invalid, but you can't put "most regions" when most regions don't have one.

Mickey, I said "In" the United States.. not "of" the United States.. I am aware that the US does not have an official federal language.. and yes, technically, in most regions, the official language is English.. 28 states and I believe all territories

How is 56% most? That is barely over half.

lol that's what "most" means! Haha "over half." I didn't say "overwhelming majority"

In Illinois, our official language was "American" until 1969. :) Then we decided to switch to "English."
