The source is not reliable, Thuringowa is a suburb of Townsville and has nowhere near the population stated (you'll notice that Townsville / Thuringowa are given the same population). Central Coast is not a town/city, it's a region.

Alice Springs is one that I seem to know, but isn't there. Doubtless it's because being not near the coast few people want to live there in the desert.
