Nomo actually played for the Mets in 1998, which was after his no-hitter in 1996. This does not make him an ex-Met.

What about the one Nomo pitched in his first start with the Red Sox on April 4, 2001 when he was an ex-Met?

I don't know if this has been mentioned on T.V. or in papers or whatever, but figures I researched today pertinent to this quiz: as of the end of last season the Mets played 7,968 games (plus 74 playoff games) without a no-hitter. The only other active team without a no-hitter is the Padres (who began 7 years later) with 6,836 games (plus 25 playoff games).
