	I have attempted to consistently use the "canonical" - that is, original - US release for my terminology. That is to say, the answers are based on FF1 for NES, FF2 for PlayStation, FF3 for DS, FF4 for PS (or 2 for SNES), 5 for PS, and 6 for PS (or 3 for SNES). I also tried to choose categories that were not subject to much variation in translation, and occasionally accepted slightly different translations where alphabetical order was not compromised. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for playing, watch for FF7-12 safe cracker soon! And also, thanks to those who inspired me with the original safe cracker style quizzes - it's an awesome format!

	Yeah I just gave up once I saw the first clue. I only played FF1 on the NES, not bothering with remakes...

	First off, if you want the canonical names then you'd want to use the most recent releases of these games. Second off, the point of these safe crackers is to guess the order the items are supposed to go in. Thus eliminating your need for alphabetical order.

	It was my understanding that pretty much all the safe cracker games require you to place things in alphabetical order. I am a fan of originals rather than remakes, having been raised on FF1 for the NES and what have you. Maybe "canonical" was the wrong word choice. I think the oldest available official release (that is, no fan translations) should be the standard.

	First off, the games are not remakes so actually try them instead of being ignorant of the situation. Second off, Safe Cracker games ARE an alphabetical game like "metagloria" already stated. The only reason the game is called Final Fantasy is because Squaresoft, who published the game, was nearly going out of business and FFI was their big last chance to get something out there and it was a hit.
