The alphabetical thing is kind of annoying, but I understand why you had to do it.

I liked it. It would be a touch harder if you reduced the time.

Aaaaah, this brings back memories. Of how geographically inaccurate the NFL used to be! Like the Cardinals being considered East, while the Falcons, Panthers and Saints are somehow West. Also, the Jaguars and Bucs being considered Central even though they both reside on the East Coast. Good times.

The alphabetical nature is certainly unfortunate, but yeah I can't really think of another way to make this quiz using the Sporcle interface. Basically though, once you get a point of reference in a division it isn't a big deal. A quiz worth making even with the restraints.

I typed San Francisco in the "St Louis" slot and it lit up St Louis. Might wanna fix that

@DanielRu: The reason I did that was because if you consider St Louis as Saint Louis, the alphabetical order of St Louis and San Francisco changes, so I thought the only reasonable thing to do was to accept both answers in either slot. Sorry about the alphabetical order. I too agree it is annoying, but it was the best way I could think of to prevent just guessing every team. How's the time? Too much or just right?

For St Louis/San Francisco-pick one or the other. Also, change the clue to read alphabetical order by team name, not by city/state (not all teams have a city or state listed--such as Tampa Bay)

the NFL is still pretty geographically challenged. Dallas isn't east of anything.

Thank god for the Houston Texans, straightened everybody out lol. I always thought the Colts should have been the ones to stay in the East and the Dolphins go to the South, Indiana isn't really South to me. Imagine Colts and Pats twice a year this decade??

Colts and Pats would have certainly been nice, but I am also glad the Miami-NYJ rivalry was maintained. Neither had finished below .500 since 1996. Of course, if the NFL had known what they know now, they would have ditched it in a second for Colts-Pats.

vince: since at the time of the alignment the NFC East was the power conference they didn't what to mess with it - geography be damned (nobody cared about the cards)

While a Colts-Pats divisional rivalry would have been awesome, I'm more than fine with the three playoff matchups and the many regular season classics. Keeping them in the same division puts some of that history at risk.
