People need to stop "speaking for the rest of the English-speaking world", while it may be a poor quiz, commentators are injecting UK terms into this, not necessarily world terms
For instance corbyjenks says, "but nobody plays soccer in the rest of the world, we play football," but the term soccer is used, often alongside football, in Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Canada & the USA (in other words every major English-speaking country that plays more than one kind of football) so stop "speaking for the rest of the English-speaking world," when you're really just talking about the UK |
