	This is definitely my favorite class that I have taken thus far in college, and the only one I have ever turned into a Sporcle quiz! Some notable exclusions I thought of are Creedence Clearwater Revival, Van Morrison, Billy Joel, The Cars, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Roy Orbison. If you think of any others, let me know and I'll take them up with my professor!

	Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons were definitely huge in 1960s pop music. I would also include Simon & Garfunkel instead of Paul Simon solo. Or maybe both. Maybe Cream as well? Curtis Mayfield, SAM COOKE. This class sounds amazing. I wish they would offer it at Goucher.

	Bon Jovi should be in there for more 80s, I feel. You should talk to your professor about including Rush in the prog rock section of class. I also fail to understand how REM is "Hardcore, Metal, or Grunge", they for sure are more Indie or Alternative. How did your prof explain that? (

	@mdkid2012: I agree with the exclusions you note, and also with pianoman that Bon Jovi should be included. Also, I have to wonder how there can be a section on "the birth of heavy metal", and yet the curriculum excludes two of the bands that were most influential to the birth of the genre, Blue Oyster Cult and Steppenwolf. I was also surprised to not see Tom Petty, George Thorogood or Joan Jett. And while it's open to debate, I'd say that everyone should have to listen to Iron Butterfly's long-form "In-a-gadda-da-vida" just so they know how wild and drawn out some of the rock from that era could get.

	Thanks for the fun quiz, @mdkid. Yeah, I wish there was a class like this when I was in college, though I probably would've flunked out for arguing too much with the professor. No CCR, no Jackie Wilson, no Sam Cooke, no Frank Sinatra, no 2Pac, no Zevon, no Kraftwerk? Yikes!
