um...sinker, forkball, circle change (if you specify 4-seam and 2-seam) should probobly be included
Oct 27th, 2009 at 22:50 GMT
I put split finger fastball, instead of splitter, and i tried to spell eephus but was unsuccessful. But I agree with JP17mets, I also tried sinker, forkball and circle changes, as well as dropball.

Gyroball is only a theoretical pitch. No one actually throws it. Dice-K was supposedly the guy who threw it. He doesn't. Also you need to add the common pitches: sinker, forkball, and circle-change up, and slurve. If you are going to include pitches like eephus and screwball, you should include the slurve, which is much more common than either of those pitches in the modern game.

What about brushback, pitchout, and intentional ball?
Oct 27th, 2009 at 22:58 GMT
Include sinker, slurve, forkball, and circle-change. Don't include the drop ball (that is a softball pitch). In baseball a drop ball is "synonymous with a 12-6 curveball" (see http://www.ehow.com/video_4974938_throw-drop-ball-pitch.html where the guy teaching the dropball actually says a dropball is just another word for curveball), though it could be an alternative answer to curveball.

Besides that, this quiz has good promise

Throw in circle change, slurve, forkball, sinker. Take out gyroball as it isn't a real pitch. I didn't check but make sure cutter and splitter also accept cut fastball and split finger fastball. I would definitely throw in slurve and if you want another hybrid pitch, there's the knucklecurve. Mussina used to throw it pretty well.

I tried knucklecurve and slurve as well, besides circle-change and forkball.

why do you get different fastballs for "fastball" but have to seperately type circle change and changeup?
Mar 4th, 2010 at 01:38 GMT
Where's the knucklecurve?
Apr 25th, 2010 at 00:27 GMT
