	Of all the lists ever created this has to be one of the 100 or so worst. Anytime you get to the point in any list and read Melvin Mora, you need to go ahead and stop. Roger Clemens 42nd? No Konerko. Tim Wakefield? Tim Wakefield? What in the wide world of sports is Tim Wakefield doing on this list instead of Paul Konerko?

	What a sad list. JD Drew-22 Polanco-46 Koiske-92 but missing guys like Konerko and Soriano, both who tore up the majority of the decade.

	Paul Konerko averaged more games played, more HRs, more RBIs, and batted only .004 lower than Carlos Beltran from '00 to '09. And he won a World Series. How is one guy #6 and the other isn't even in the top 100?? Nice job ESPN.

	This list might be the worst 100 list concerning sports I have ever seen. Outside of the obvious Paul Konerko slight, how is JD Drew 22, when Ortiz is 53? Ask any pitcher, bases loaded and you have a two run lead in the bottom of the ninth, would they rather face Drew in his prime or Ortiz in his prime?

	Obviously this comment is towards the list makers at ESPN, but there is no way in hell Jeter is top five. Just because they love his narrative doesn't make up for his lack of range the last 7 years. Sure, he is a great player, but he was best in the late 90s. He should probably be around 16-22nd

	Fielding, fielding, fielding - that why many of these guys are listed higher than you'd expect. Plus, many did not play the whole decade. besides Wakefield, I think Zito and Lowell are way too high. The 3 biggest ranking surprises for me were Drew (.903 OPS - no, really), Vazquez (too high) and Escobar (about right). by the way, Wins are nice, but they don't tell the whole story.

	wow, Zito's WHIP was 1.30, his K/BB ratio was less than 2 and the only Cy Young votes he got were the year he won it.

	I don't know how a losing pitcher (Washburn) made it on here. He had a 97-101 record in that decade.

	What a strange, strange list. I understand it's ESPN so they want to "generate discussion" but... no Joe Nathan. Mark Buehrle at 26 (?!?!) but no Paul Konerko. Manny not even in the top 10, behind Jim Edmonds. Corey freaking Koskie is on this list. After a while I was naming random players (Doug Mientkiewicz? Randy Wolf? Cristian Guzman?) because it seemed conceivable that ANYBODY could've made it.

	@RyanBeingManny: Exactly, I love how they'll trump up the outstanding fielding of guys like Mike Cameron to the point that he's in the top 40 somehow, but completely ignore fielding when it comes to Jeter.

	I'm surprised that Robinson Cano wasn't on this list. While he has increasingly become one of the best players in the game over the past few years, he did come up in 2005 from the minors and immediately became a sensation.
