| Sounds like this League of Nations debate is coming down to how we are to define "part of US history." In one case, you could say it was not part of US history because, as Dan and bubba state, the US was never a member of the League; in the other case however, you could say that while the US was never technically in the League, it was certainly involved in its creation and development. In my opinion, I think it is a little picky to say that the League of Nations was not part of US history because the US was not a member of the league. The creation of the League, did indeed directly affect the United States even though the US were not members; the US senate, after all, spent time and money discussing the bill which stirred public opinion and debate regarding the matter. |
