| I don't think requiring the city/state is a bad thing, but...the only reason to do that would be if you would be accepting the ORIGINAL city/state. Example:the Patriots were the Boston Patriots until from 1960 until 1971. The Titans came in as the Houston Oilers. What puzzles me is why the Ravens are the only team listed as a franchise move. And yes, I'm aware there have been two editions of the Cleveland Browns. The Rams came in as the LA Rams. The Raiders came in (I believe) as the LA Raiders. The Cardinals came in as the Chicago Cardinals. The Redskins came in as the Boston Redskins (moved to Washington in 1937). The Cleveland Browns you have up there are the ones that moved to Baltimore. The Colts came in as the Baltimore Colts. The Chiefs came in as the Dallas Texans. The Jets came in as the New York Titans. I think I covered all the mistakes, but I could have missed some, since I mentioned these from memory. |
