some of the team names alone arent accepted (you have to type 'chicago white sox' instead of just 'white sox').

Interesting quiz, but please type in /"team names only" instead of just allowing last word answers

States that border the Great Lakes are typically not considered landlocked (i.e. Sporcle's "Landlocked States" quiz).

Yeah, I missed the White Sox, Chiefs, Blue Jackets, and Red Wings because it didn't accept the team name only. I'm also pretty sure I put in Pirates and it didn't accept that either, so there might be something wrong there too.

Nor is Pennsylvania typically considered landlocked. Philadelphia is a major port.

Unfortunately I am going to have to disagree with the state of Pennsylvania as being non landlocked because non landlocked states are ones that were on an actual ocean or sea. The only bordering part connected to water for Pennsylvania is on the Delaware River so I considered pennsylvania as well as states on the great lakes to be landlocked. The team names only is now fixed though.

what about washington teams? I think D.C. would be considered landlocked?

I would only say that no teams that are D.C. teams actually play in D.C. they either play in virginia or maryland, both states that border the ocean

@mastodonian, wrong, the Nationals and Wizards play in DC. The Redskins and Caps do not. It's as land locked as Philadelphia, and I think it should count.
