When Your Starting Ace is Wandy Rodriguez...I think it means your gonna have a long season. Great Quiz and Go Astros!!
Apr 5th, 2012 at 20:20 GMT
Rodriguez is pretty good. It's the rest you should be worried about. What about Oakland and Seattle? Yikes...
Apr 5th, 2012 at 22:58 GMT
The Opening Day starters for Oakland and Seattle were Brandon McCarthy and Felix Hernandez respectively. The pitchers you have listed for them are the two pitchers involved in the decision.
Apr 6th, 2012 at 02:18 GMT
I fixed the problem right after I released the quiz so no worries.
Apr 6th, 2012 at 03:00 GMT
Just wondering, why is this a clickable quiz as opposed to a normal one?
Apr 6th, 2012 at 04:27 GMT
I have found that the clickable quizzes a more popular and tome more fun. So it just would I think is most enjoyable.
Apr 6th, 2012 at 14:18 GMT
I thought Jeremy Guthrie was still an Oriole. Otherwise I ran the table.
Apr 6th, 2012 at 14:55 GMT
I still can't believe Jake Arrieta is our opening day starter. It's going to be a long year.
Apr 6th, 2012 at 15:07 GMT
Thumbs up if you thought Guthrie was on the Orioles!
Apr 6th, 2012 at 15:14 GMT
you could make this more interesting by adding the #2 starter for each team. For example, I didn't know Hanson is the ace, but I knew he is a Brave
Apr 6th, 2012 at 17:04 GMT
I agree with Metzrule...you don't need to have any idea who the opening day starters are to do this quiz, all you need to know is what teams the pitchers are on. If you want to leave it in this format, then you should add the word matchup to the quiz title, since all we're really doing is matching pitchers to teams.
Apr 6th, 2012 at 18:00 GMT
I find the clickable quizzes less enjoyable for the most part because of quizzes like this where you don't actually need to know the answer just enough to figure it out. This would be a much harder and better quiz under the standard format. I ran the table simply because I knew who everyone pitched for, but for some of the teams if I didn't have the name on a list I wouldn't have figured out who their opening day starter was.
Apr 6th, 2012 at 22:21 GMT
Be so much easier if the names were in alphabetical order using last name not first name
Apr 7th, 2012 at 00:08 GMT
I added in some decoy answers to the quiz do to popular demand from recent post. I would like feed back on whether or not to keep it like this. GIVE THIS COMMENT A *PLUS* IF YOU WANT IT KEPT THIS WAY, OR GIVE IT A *NEGATIVE* IF YOU LIKE IT BETTER WITH JUST ALL ACTUAL ANSWERS. Thank You

I think this is an example of a quiz where the classic Sporcle format is better than this new one.
Apr 7th, 2012 at 14:03 GMT
Nice quiz but I'm not a fan of the click format, would have been better classic steez.
Apr 7th, 2012 at 19:03 GMT
I can't help but feel sorry for the Orioles and Rockies pitching staffs when their aces are Arrieta (don't really know who he is) and Guthrie (used to be on the O's but moved to the Rockies).
Apr 7th, 2012 at 19:13 GMT
I have been a die hard Twins fan ever since along time ago, and I saw Arrieta pitch for the O's against us...and his stuff was gooood. He is a for sure on the rise as a young pitcher.

how did Latos not start for cincinnati
Apr 8th, 2012 at 21:40 GMT
this works better as a simple "write them in" than a clickable. too easy.
Apr 12th, 2012 at 02:01 GMT
Thanks for 10,000 plays.

Need more time added to this quiz. Too much of it was wasted just trying to physically find the answers.
