	Sorry I have to say it. If you don't want the debate of "pre Super Bowl NFL Championships vs post merger championships" to happen here, you should drop "Green Bay Packers" and "New York Giants" as answers -OR- you should list "Super Bowl" right along with "World Series" and "Stanley Cup" as your examples of what is considered "modern era". Just trying to help you. (I would guess that is why your rating for this quiz is so average at the moment)

	So pre-Super Bowl NFL Championships don't count as championships, but World Series, Stanley Cups and NBA Championships from decades before the Super Bowl existed do? How does that make any sense?

	I think pre-Super Bowl Championships should count for the NFL. I also agree that this shouldn't be a minefield quiz.

	The idea that the NFL has changed in a way that the other big four sports have not is absurd. If we're counting championships that teams won in the NHL when there were six teams in the league, then we should count NFL titles pre-merger and pre-Super Bowl. This arbitrary cutoff line for the "modern era" just bugs me.

	Just a thought, and I'm not sure how to word it: The instructions should indicate that the answers include the franchise's entire ("modern") history (e.g., the Oakland Athletics includes the KC and Phila Athletics).

	@TAR2, If we follow your logic all the NBA championships before the 1976 ABA-NBA merger should not count (therby eliminating the Celtics from this quiz) and neither should any of the NHL championships before the 1979 NHL-WHA merger (also would eliminate the Bruins, Canadiens and Maple Leafs). The NFL considers all championships equal before or after they were called the Superbowl. The word Superbowl is essentially just a marketing term. The Packers, Bears and NY Giants should all be on here as correct answers.

@jumungus: The situations are simply not the same. The NBA-ABA merger added FOUR teams. The NHL-WHA merger also added FOUR teams. The NFL-AFL merger added TEN. The new league was almost double the size of the original.
