	Wow, so many of these answers are wrong! We never use words such as "mouver", chacoter or souompe!!! First time I hear that... And some associations make no sense at all. A "myrtille" and a "bleuet" are 2 different fruits!

	I learned (English Canada) that both "de rien" and "bienvenue" were ways of saying "you're welcome", but "bienvenue" was "welcome" in regards to a place such as "bienvenue au Montreal" and "de rien" was "it's nothing" in response to someone thanking you. Could anyone clear this up for me?

	its swompe(like te slush flavor) and se chicaner(chacoter?!?wth) maybe your Quebecois de poche was in a kind of "region" joual, but go in Montreal talking about "pain sucré" or "mouver" and you'll be looked at like if you were an alien

	I'm from Quebec. Quebecer: Myrtille = blueberry, bleuet = blueberry. Same thing. Jamais entendu un québécois dire myrtille et jamais entendu un français dire bleuet. Case close! Swompe! (Never saw that word written, but it's equivalent to marécage) marzoz10: Mouver, pain sucré, brocher, chacoter(chicaner oui, mais chacoter..). Never use them in Quebec, nobody will understand you. Try Déménager, gâteau, tricoter or se disputer. Ouvrir a un sens beaucoup plus large que débarrer, débarrer = Ouvrir à clé.(Open with a key) Débarrer = Unlock. Ouvrir = Open Toffe = Tough. But 100% of people of Quebec will write "tough". Tough is a direct translation of Dur. Kthxbai: Bienvenue = welcome It's nothing = De rien. But sometime people use "bienvenue" as a synonym of "de rien" like when people say "You're welcome" in english.
