I believe "savory" is often used as a translation for umami.

I've heard umami before and I knew it was the one I was missing, I just couldn't recall it. Oops. Though I did try savory, which should probably work as well. I prefer umami though.

I definitely tried unami instead of umami a million times.........and then I tried savory.
