| @rudi: is regional I suppose as in Spain we say patata and batata. but may be that in America they say it like that.
Juice is the same thing. we can say jugo but not for juice. for instance, when it is canned pineapple in its own juice, it can be said "piña en su jugo". but usually we dont use it.
Seems to me that you are learning the wrong Spanish, my friends. but I think it is accepted in both ways for most of the words. |
