| This quiz is not based off opinion. It is based off actual rankings of each artists entire body of R & B hits in Billboard. Believe it or not, Al Green ranks #58, Lionel Richie ranks #91, Hall & Oates #334, Little Richard was #115, Otis Redding #85, Sly & The Family Stone #169, Johnny Mathis #439, etc. Some of these artists had a big impact over a very small time span with not many hits (Otis)...others like Johnny Mathis, though African American, really didn't impact the R & B charts much. And most of Smokey Robinson's hits were as part of The Miracles, which is classified as a separate act that also ranks in the Top 50. |
