If anybody has any further spellings that are not yet in the quiz, let me know and I'll get them in there. I realise names such as Hamid, Mohd and Ahmed are derived from Muhammad, but I'm looking for direct transliterations. I don't know very much about Islam, but if this quiz is in any way offensive to any Muslims out there, I'll happily take it down.

In Portuguese it's Maomé. By the way, wouldn't it be better to give the language instead of the country? If the clue is e.g. "Portugal, Brazil" you're leaving out the other Portuguese-speaking countries (Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, etc.), where the spelling is the same.

@dancastro: I was thinking that, but there are so many languages across the Middle East and in towards Pakistan, India etc. that it would be impossible to cover them all. I'm sure that by writing "Spain" for example, it's obvious that it applies to Mexico, South America (bar Brazil) et al.
