The sporcle convention is that Australasia is called Oceania. And is 13 really the London Bridge, or is it the Tower Bridge?

sbelkoski: "is 13 really the London Bridge". No. It's Tower Bridge as the answer states, sometimes erroneously called London Bridge.
b4ustar8: "the pictures r not clear". That's what the quiz is! Not accepting "liberty".

Fun quiz. A little too much time I think. And I missed Niagara because I can't spell, for which I blame you and you alone.

I agree with above - too much time - but great quiz. I think it could be more tricky though, perhaps only showing a portion of the buildings or rotating them. The picture you've used for Angkor Wat is Baksei Chamkrong, about 1 mile NE. Incidentally, I only got Angkor Wat because I thought it was #16...

mat: Thanks for informing me about Angkor Wat, I've changed the pic now. I guess I was close at least...

How cool was this? Maybe someday my 9-year-old will teach me how to do this kind of stuff on this stupid machine.

You should get actual pictures as opposed to these snapshots from google maps which can be a bit confusing since no one ever views these sights from this view...unless of course they are in a plane

i think this should be in the geography section, as it would get way more plays there which it deserves. brilliant quiz, fun to play and more importantly, taught me that my spelling is attrocious... colisseum, niagra, chicken itza...

Lighthouse: I did have it in the geography section originally but it's a very competitive category so the quiz disappears quickly so nobody can find it. It would be good if Sporcle would allow you to see all user created quizzes in each category, although I guess that would be quite alot. I'm glad you liked it though!

loved the quiz,,,but the layout should be changed to allow one to see photo and type answers at the same time. I had to scroll up and down too often. Add more sites. Yes,,,it is Tower Bridge, the original London Bridge is now in the USA...another in its place in London. Correct, Mexico is part of North America as are the Central American countries and Islands or the Caribbean.

Really nice quiz! And certainly scope for sequels. My spelling really got me - took a while to spell 4, 8 and 15 in particular!

Very nice mix of easily recognized, difficult, 'what's that called again' and 'what the _ is that' attractions. Great idea and very well executed. My only suggestion would be to downgrade colosseum to an alternate answer and have Flavian Amphitheatre appear. Sure, must people will type colosseum, but this way many will learn what it is called as well. Does anyone else think that Niagara falls looks eerily similar to a mushroom cloud from this angle?

Great job including variations on what things are called! London bridge, Ayer's rock, Acropolis were all really helpful. Also, I only got Angkor Wat because I thought that's what 16 was, too. But then I figured it out and managed 100%. Really fun quiz, excellent job!

lupin, should you tell players to click on the red x to display the Google map images? I'm embarrassed to say I was clueless, so I played the game without them. I thought you wanted the tourist attractions that are Googled most often! Also, I agree that it would be more helpful if the images were from the front, not the sky view, which I found almost completely useless!

i think for the St. Peter's Basilica answer, you should include St. Peter's Square also because the picture also show the square in front of the Basilica, which is also a landmark itself.

Nice quiz - I always think these ones are better if you have to specify which picture you're giving an answer to, to reward knowledge/educated guesses over those just typing in random tourist attractions left right and centre.
