This was much harder than I anticipated. As a native of Buffalo, NY, I have to say thanks for including my beloved chicken wings. You just can't get good wings outside of Western New York! Another great contribution, lupin.

Thanks guys pleased you liked it. This quiz made me so hungry while I was making it I had to go out and buy a cake.
@beatrixkiddo: Ah, see a battenburg has those pink and yellow checks on it. Good cake too :)

Great Quiz! re:21 - although the meat may be from a particular source, the cut is commonly called a New York Strip - please accept this answer as an alternate. Also, could you get a better photo for the Dijon mustard? The extreme close-up nature of this photo made it impossible for me to identify as mustard at all.

@gowhere: Thanks for the info - have added alternate and switched the dijon mustard picture. Hopefully more people might guess it now.

Really nice idea for a quiz. It might be nice if we didn't need to pluralize things - I was a little confused why just "lima bean" didn't work. I also spent way too much time thinking #1 was a guinea hen.

@Faxman: Thanks for the lima bean - I've amended that.

I liked the quiz, but you need need consistency on what you require. For #8 the name of the whole dish is required, but for #9 just the location. I suggest pick one and stick with it.

@444444: Ha. I know turkey's pretty obvious, along with French toast, Begian waffles etc, so I tried to stick with food named after cities/areas rather than whole countries.

There's a bakery across the road that does the most amazing Baked Alaska and Black Forest Gateau... for the sake of my bank balance I'm glad they're closed right now.

Fun, challenging quiz. I might suggest you accept Gorgonzola cheese, in addition to the Stilton cheese, as Gorgonzola is also a veined blue cheese and location.

Just "pâté" shouldn't be accepted for Ardennes pâté. I got that answer despite never having heard of the specific food you were looking for.
