Good quiz, although the name of the country is United States of America - United States is short.

@paven: All of these country names are short forms. The official name of China, for example, is "People's Republic of China." So using "United States" rather than "United States of America" is perfectly consistent with the rest of the answers.

@finnoztoffee - !!!! @paven - I used the common names of all countries as found, for example, in "List of countries" on Wikipedia.

Do you mean the top answers people give or the actual answers? For example, Connecticut and Massachusetts are actually smaller than Maine.

would've been better if US states were changed with something more universal.

um, i'm pretty sure india is among the top ten most populous countries. according to wikipedia, it is number two behind china. i can't trust the credibility of a quiz that doesn't recognize india for one of the most populous countries!

floggers-it is the most populous countries by number of letters- for instance, only the most populous 5-letter country is shown. Since India has fewer people than China, which has the same number of letters, India is not on this quiz.

@lukebradford: Very nice quiz. It seems a number of people are confused by the concept, so perhaps it would be helpful to give more explanation in the game note. Just a thought. 5 orbs.
