	@sproutcm To be fair, nothing in your version, not the title, not the URL, not the "can you name bit," lets on the presidential theme. That can only make it harder to find. Even a search wouldn't bring it up unless you made a 2nd click to go play it. Additionally, I like this version better. It's longer (though barely), has a better color scheme, and connects at the end. (I bet that last part means it's "technically" not a "word ladder," but that doesn't bother me.)

	@hscer @lukebradford Actually, in a word ladder, you cannot change the same letter position twice in a row, so you cannot go from FORT to FORD to FORK. That forces 24 possibilities for the middle word if you didn't know it, and it also means you could skip directly from FORT to FORK without needing FORD in the middle. While breaking that rule makes it a lot easier to make a word ladder, it is inelegant, and makes solving them much less fun for the player.

	@sproutcm - Sorry about taking your idea. I actually didn't notice that I had changed the same letter twice, which I was trying to avoid. I might change that if I get a chance.

	@sproutcm, OK, fair enough. However, it would still have been needlessly difficult to find your version based on how you set it up. I generally don't mind you telling everybody that they've taken your idea, but in this case, luke could not have been reasonably expected to find it. I do wonder, however, what compels you to so often point out an idea of yours that someone else has used. The only explanation I can imagine is that you want people to know who it was who came up with the idea. Far as I know, however, everyone thinks of you as and often tells you how good, original and creative a quizmaker you are, so I find it generally a bit needless... but not as needless as favoriting every one of your quizzes. (Actually, I am honestly sure that has a point, I just can't figure it out.)

	@hscer Actually, I post about a dozen times a day, when anyone posts a quiz that someone has done before, especially published ones, and usually I post the link. The reason I point this out often for my own quizzes, is I know them a lot better than the other 100,000+ quizzes on Sporcle now. The reason behind this is as editors we are supposed to help eliminate and control duplicate quizzes that appear on the site. So, part of this is informative, and trying to get people to who don't search to search. Just this week, I made a quiz that was then pointed out to me someone else did. It happens; the search functions suck but they are working on that. However, the rules of the Sporcle higher powers state that whoever made the quiz first, will be the one that gets published. Oh, the reason I favorite all my quizzes is because the favorite page is easy to get to in one click, and then I can easy search my quizzes. Also, it is the only way to see how many people have favorite a quiz in one list. As for both you and lukebradford, you make a lot of great quizzes. I wasn't expecting anyone to know everything out there, I was just pointed out that I had just made the quiz two weeks earlier, since I've been trying to post at least one new word ladder every day. So, no hard feelings, I'm just trying to help make Sporcle a better place.

	@sproutcm, Thanks for the comment. It definitely clears everything up (including new reasons to favorite quizzes). Unfortunately, though, it seems a lot of the people who make repeat quizzes can't really be convinced to stop or do more thorough searching (there's one person I'm thinking of, who I actually defended once, but far as I know keeps on duplicating). That plus the pure number of quizzes... I'm not quite sure what I'm trying to get across now, but the policy of only publishing the first of a quiz makes complete sense and is probably the only really effective way of limiting the effect of duplications. I suppose it's still worthwhile to tell individual quiz makers what they're doing when they duplicate an idea whether intentionally or unintentionally. Well, I ramble, even though I admit I'm not familiar with where Sporcle is going with the user generated content and how they're processing quizzes to get published with so many of them.
