Great concept. I think it would be better if you removed the baby names that weren't so popular and opened it up to more cities (like Alexandria, Jackson and Savannah).

Funny story...I have a niece named Alexandria. And I used to live in Alexandria, VA. When she was about 4 years old I told her: "I used to live in city named Alexandria". She looked at me and said: "You used to live in my stomach?". :)

There are SOOOOO many other cities not on this list. But, yes, the absence of Gary is pretty bad.

Well, of course Gary may be a more popular name - but if Wikipedia is to be trusted, the city of Gary is just way too small to be included.

Regarding the name Gilbert, it hasn't been in the 400 most popular names in the past decade (its peak position since 2000 was #527 in 2000).
As to the "absence of Gary," I don't know what the quiz creator's cutoff for populous cities, but Wiki (using the 2010 Census figures) says that Gary, Indiana only has a little over 80,000 people (in 2000, the city had just over 102,000). And it seems that Indiana is the only state with a "Gary" of any sufficient size. The name (using that spelling) has also suffered a decline according to the SSA--down from #275 in 2000 to #494 in 2011, and being outside the Top 400 since 2008.

I thought about Gary too, but according to the source, Gary has not been among the top 400 baby names since 2007. Phoenix has been in the top 400 every year since 2008. Eugene was 504th in 2000 and has faded since.

The decline of our society can be directly linked to less people being named Gary and Eugene. It's science, look it up.

You can also see the decline of society if you go to the city of Gary, IN. :)

I'm surprised Augusta, GA didn't make this list, as it currently has more people than Savannah. Also, no Warren, MI or Eugene, OR.

I wonder how many of those who have one of the names on this list had parents who were big fans of the tv show which featured a popular character with that name (is that non-spoiler obtuse enough)?
