Barely got halfway before time was out. How about 10 mins? Took a long time before New Mexico finally showed up!

A few surprises...Delaware warmer than New Mexico and Nevada? I'm sure it's correct and all, but a little surprising. A little depressing that almost all the last row are the states that border Canada...yep, it's cold here.

@gatz40: That surprise is due to elevation and distance from a moderating ocean (which are corrolated). Delaware being a strip of bayside plain means it'll be just a smidge warmer than New Mexico and Nevada when their vast mountain ridges cancel out the baking deserts.

It would be fun to see if there was some way to weight average temperature measurements to reflect the regions in each state where the most people live. It would probably be incredibly complicated though.

@misterF: an easy approximation would be to simply take the measurements from the largest city in the state. The approximation could then become more accurate by adding the next largest city, etc.

I think the strangest thing in the results is that Alaska isn't number one or number two in "% guessed right." It's by far the coldest.
