@moviegoer74 - I will try to be more blunt in my explanation that this quiz goes by the top 15 characters by number of lines in all six films. And R2D2 and Chewbacca would obviously have more lines than more than half of these characters, but I couldn't in good conscience put them on the list as having actual "lines;" as in actual conversational pieces that we understand or are translated for us at the bottom of the screen.
sdc1030; haha, no I definitely didn't come up with the dialogue to the films. I simply copied and pasted each script into a word document and used the find tool to count how many times each character's name was listed before their set of lines were given. The tricky part was to weed out the instances where the name was given for stage directions.
@atuin, Owen Lars is Luke's (step) uncle. He is the step brother to Anakin Skywalker, and, therefore, the step-son of Shmi Skywalker (wife to Cleigg Lars, Owen's father). Luke is given to Owen and Beru after the death of Luke and Leia's mother, Padme, to try to effectively hide the twins from Anakin, now Darth Vader. |
