I just checked Pete, and it does work. I'm sorry that it didn't for you, sometimes there are glitches in the games. I already accept two people for Joey, the two who he said he was in love with, Rachel and Kate, and I think that should suffice. I also already have two people for Chandler, Kathy and Janice, again, I'm not quite sure why Kathy didn't work for you. (Though, just so you know, Kathy and Pete are not in the main answer. They just give you the answer if you guess their names. Maybe that's what you are talking about?)
And finally, Frances is Phoebe's grandmother. She is absolutely listed in the 'death' category. You must type in 'Fran' or 'Frances' though, not 'Phoebe's grandma.'
