	For fan voting this is pretty good, with the exception of McGwire you can make at least a case for everybody on the list.

	Fan voting is always pretty horrible, but I agree with Outlander that this actually came out okay. Even at the time, the inclusion of Ryan and McGwire was bad, and Robinson was an emotional pick (not that he didn't deserve adulation, he just didn't get a chance to play long enough). Other than that, though, you could argue with a lot of these, but at least it was a legitimate argument, with support on both sides.

	This is one of the rare times that knowing too much about the topic of a quiz actually hurts. I must have typed in "Seaver", "Foxx" and "Speaker" about six times each.

	If I had one game I had to win Nolan Ryan would not be in the top 20 pitchers I want pitching for me that game. Foxx ten times better than McGwire (even ignoring out the obvious). Five pitchers got more votes than Walter freaking Johnson??!!

	I remember when they had the celebration of this team during the All-Star game. Sandberg over Morgan was a travesty, and I believe Joe was one of the broadcasters during the game. I guess being the back to back MVP one the greatest National League team ever does'nt count for anything.

	The All-Century team that was unveiled at the 1999 All-Star Game were the nominees, which included quite a few more players. However, BiloxiSean: Sandberg didn't receive enough votes to be honored at the All-Star Game, Morgan did. He was third on the voting list among 2nd basemen (just about 20,000 short of Hornsby).

	I'd say the worst votes goes to Nolan Ryan getting the most for any pitcher. Off the top of my head, Maddux, Carlton, or Seaver deserved his spot. And Honus Wagner and Stan Musial having to be added as "special panel selection" because they didn't receive enough votes.

	WTF did I just read? I know it was 1999, but come on. Nolan ryan obviously gone. Same with McGwire, Jackie Robinson (sorry I couldnt wait 14 more days to do this on march 1st :) ), hell I'd probably take boggs over brooks. Carew or Collins or LAJOIE??? over Jackie. Foxx or McCovey over McGwire? Idk, its weird to think from 99 perspective. also, I'm surprised Clemente didn't make it, he is always overrated (i know he was good but he IS slightly over rated) by the public. whatever, I lost steam halfway through this post. Peace also, maybe specify "which century" and give a source. I know it sounds dumb but when I immediately started, the first name I typed in was Jeter, then went "ohhhhhhhhh" haha

	So Griffey and Pete Rose are better than Stan freakin' Musial and Tris Speaker, and Ty Cobb is the 7th best outfielder of all time?? They should have required that the voters know something about the history of the game. I'd argue that both Griffey and Rose should be bumped from the list, to be replaced by Speaker and possibly Rickey Henderson, whose greatness seems to be constantly overlooked. I'd also but Wagner and Banks well ahead of Ripken, who at best is a distant third to those 2. Same thing for Collins and Morgan (and obviously Hornsby) over Jackie Robinson. Anybody know if the rest of the fan voting was made public? Since the most famous names seem to be the ones receiving the most votes, I wouldn't be surprised if Tris Speaker finished below Roger Maris or god fordbid, Sammy Sosa. Also, it'd be interesting to see where Shoeless Joe ended up (if he appeared on the ballot at all).

	maddux should really be one of these pitchers most of those guys relied on strength but maddux had to truly pitch and still got 300 wins and 3000 k's

	I'm sorry, but there is no reason the Barry Bonds shouldn't be on this list. He is still one of the greatest baseball players with or without steroids.

	Most of these decisions can be justified, except for Mcgwire over Foxx. It's so painfully obvious how big the boner that everyone had for Mr 70 bombs was, big enough to ignore the insane career of Jimmie Foxx. Also Collins>Robinson and Speaker> Griffey or Rose, although from the '99 perspective Griffey had only played half his career and already had 395 dingers and perennial gold gloves, so there was no reason to think the next decade would be an injury plagued mess, which unfortunately it was. And as far as the studs of the last decade go, Pujols and Jeter etc., there have been countless "Teams of the Decade" made including those players, but there is still another 90 years for more stars to replace them. Fans were probably saying the same things about Lajoie and Collins and Frank Baker in the 1910's.
