| Well dont feel bad, I'm Brazilian and I've never met anyone named raimunda or josefa my whole life. There were sure some surprises there. Who'd've thought Manoel, for example, being a top 10, or Sebastiao and Fabio being on the list. When I graduated in high school there were 4 boys named Felipe in my class alone (out of 40 kids) and that name is not even in the top 50. I guess this list shows us brazilians that there are also a lot of regional differences in name-giving, a lot of those names are much more common as classic names in the northeast of the country, than where I live (in the south). I still liked that they made a list though. |
