10 minutes might be a bit long for this quiz (in fact, the timer is still counting down as I write this comment). I suspect six minutes would be adequate.

^ I thought so too, but I went straight from the book. In my edition, at least, it's one word.

The fourth one down in the right-hand column being one word threw me off. And here I didn't think being able to recite 'Goodnight, Moon' would ever pay off. Now, if there's ever a Dr. Seuss' ABC's quiz, I'm golden.

My youngest is pushing 20, and still I got almost 90% of the words. Yep, MANY readings, but always a favorite. Thanks for the quiz.

Couldn't get enough of this book when I was a wee one, yet I only got 22% of it correct, yikes. Of all of the objects in the book, I only remembered moon and room. Though I did try chair, bear, and clock, as I thought I remembered them too. Curse you, pluralization!

Ahh! KittenS. I said Kitten, no S. I'm so dumb. I was sure there was a kitten. If only I had thought to pluralize it...

No need for the quotes around 'hush,' otherwise, great quiz.

The quotes are around "hush" because the old lady was whispering "hush" in the only dialogue in the book. You don't need them to get the answer.

Right, but the quiz is asking for the words, so the punctuation is unnecessary. None of the other words have periods or commas next to them, even though they might appear that way in the book.

Any book of Margaret Wise Brown's has a wonderful effect on kids. She's saying there is order in the world, you are important, and there can be peace. There is a new collection of her "Little Golden Books" that was just published, buy multiple copies and give them to new parents, new grandparents, and keep one for yourself.
