I understand why you did it (Since the NL has no DH, you were able to fit in two extra years), but it would be nice if they were consistent with the published games.

I distinctly remember Orel Hershiser pitching in opening day 1989 vs. Cincinnati. He lost his 59-inning scoreless streak in the very first inning. I'm sure Belcher was not the opening day starter that year.

Guess I was wrong - Hershiser pitched in the second game that year. Must have been saving him for the home opener.

My first thought upon seeing the quiz on the home page: "Crud, now I've got to try to spell Grudzielanek."

^ Not my first thought, but darned if I didn't spend 45 seconds or so trying (and failing) to do so. :D

It's sad how few Dodgers I remember from the last 20 years.

i didn't know that paul konerko played for the dodgers
| steelehere: | Mar 7th, 2011 at 14:56 GMT | | 1 point |
baseballfan1018; Konerko was a Dodgers 1st round draft pick. When Lasorda was the Dodgers GM for five minutes in the mid-1990's, he panicked and traded him to the Reds for Jeff Shaw because the Dodgers needed a closer to replace Todd Worrell.

How could I forget Delino DeShields! The Expos traded him for Pedro Martinez! Greatest trade in Expos' history!
