	Great quiz. Minor quibble- clann really means children rather than family as such doesn't it? I wonder also whether gu leor (galore) could be a candidate for a future version of the quiz. tapadh leat!

	Nice quiz. I'm just not sure about "smashing." Neither etymonline.com nor the OED indicate it's from a Gaelic phrase.

	Really great quiz, things like this are hard to come by but really enjoyable! Just out of interest are they from Scottish or Irish Gaelic, or both? I'm not sure about this but I think 'town' comes from the Gaelic word 'dun'...I'm reasonably certain about that as town is one of the oldest English words, and I think Edinburgh is "Dun Edainn" in Gaelic (sorry I don't speak Gaelic, I am just very interested in it and roughly know how to pronounce it) and the "dun" was replaced by the Saxon word "burh"=town or hillfort...also you can kinda see that "dun" has been corrupted into "town"...so you could put that on...

	"Town" and the Gaelic "dun" do share a common root, but it's a very early borrowing. Like, it's so early that German and Dutch have words borrowed from the same source, which leads me to believe that it was borrowed from a continental European Celtic language, rather than a British Isles Celtic language. I think this quiz is aiming for more contemporary borrowings.

	I would also like to know if it's Scots Gaelic or Irish because if it's Irish quite a few of these are unfortunately spelt incorrectly. If it's Scots then my comment is void. I like the idea though
