	No they are not independent countries, even if they have their own soccer team and olympic representation. And Tanzia is not a country. You probably mean Tanzania.

	Love NHL quizzes. Now call me a nit, but I dislike the answers being in alphabetical order because then it becomes a matter of just thinking of countries beginning with letters you've narrowed it down to. Also probably too much time allotted.

	Also, some of these guys may have been born in some of these countries but they hardly "represented" them. Rod Langway, for example, was born in Taiwan because his father was a U.S. serviceman stationed there. By that argument, John McCain would have to represent Panama.

	Quebecer - The Olympic team is Great Britain and NI. The only representation is football (soccer) and that's only because of special dispensation. You are very much wrong Irelandrew and I'm from England....sorry the UK.

	As others have pointed out, Scotland, Wales, England and N. Ireland are all United Kingdom. Also, Tanzia is (I assume) Tanzania.

	Yeah this is a pretty poor quiz, based solely on the title. You mean "where were these players born?" As simple examples, Bondra played for Slovakia and Kolzig played for Germany. There are several others like that on here.

	Clearly you guys are dumb if you don't know what Tanzia is. It's a facial product company from Hackensack, N.J. that declared independence from the United States in 1962. He was born in the waiting room. Why sporcle does not recognize it boggles my mind.

	Owen Nolan's Canadian. Just because he was born in Ireland doesn't make him Irish, or an Irish citizen. Plus he represented Canada during international play. Same with Richard Park. Quiz should be where they were born-not what country they represent

	If you are going by where players are born, and since you included Robyn Regehr, you should probably also have Richie Regehr who was born in Indonesia.

	I like the quiz idea, and I agree with including birth countries to increase the variety, but you seriously need to fix the Tanzia thing. And who are these 0.7% of people who didn't know Gordie Howe was from Canada?

	The intent of this is nice. But the quiz itself is all messed up. As many others have pointed out, you need to specify that you're asking where these players were born, as the "represented" part sows confusion. And, again as many others have stated, England, Wales and Scotland aren't countries and Nolan wasn't born in Ireland. Furthermore, Holik was born in Czechoslovakia, as was Mikita. And a number of players listed were born in the USSR.
