Cool quiz! :) I imagine the unofficial numbers for Central America might actually be quite a bit higher.

I was actually surprised at the lack of the UK and Canada. I know they're outnumbered in immigration rates, but I did expect more.

@tstenz: I'm in California, and we have LOTS of laborers from Central America... mostly El Salvador and Guatemala, which is how I got those right after Mexico. ;-)

I tried Greece for cooks since there is at least one Greek restaurant in every city. My father always says that in every restaurant, there is either a cook named Gus or Nick.

@tstenz - I live in Boston and have worked with Guatemalans and Salvadorans as well as Brazilians. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a Mexican immigrant I've ever met. They're not particularly common in the area.

For the professional jobs, I wonder if this is counting only people who were trained partially overseas or came only to, say, med school, or if it also counts people who came here as children and then ended up in that job. I would imagine that a lot of the Vietnamese on the list were refugee children who grew up as Americans and then got these jobs.
