If Sporcle allowed subdivisions of time limits in seconds... quizzes like this would become more viable. This quiz took me a total of 8 seconds.

I'm guessing the people who didn't get the CASTLE was because CASTLE was not accepted as an answer for rook. Which it should be.

Sporcle should really introduce 30 and 15 second quizzes, the King and Queen are the only two that could possibly be mixed up.

Well there are no pictures so you have to type out all remianing possiblities in each answer box, which is pointless

You need to have Arial MS Unicode to see the picture.

When I first saw my quiz on the most played section I was sort of confused. I'm truly sorry for those that can not see the pictures. This was a kind of a stupid quiz to begin with, so I will understand if you don't like it.

It was an interesting quiz. Nothing spectacular, but it's refreshing to see something that hasn't been done rather than seeing the same quizzes over and over again.

I can see the pictures. Yes, the quiz is kind of lame, but the pictures do add a little something.

@thevelocirapper: wow, I also tried "horsie" first just for fun! - there's clearly a significant horsie fan contingent here, it'd be nice to accept that :-)

@Harkinson, samibaby90, cocky: Thanks. @Sixtytwobobs: Honestly, even if I mix it up, I think everyone would still get 100%. @thevelocirapper and Pit_trout: If more people type in 'horsie' then I will consider accepting it.

I jsu nominated it for the front page. My comment was "Yeah, its silly simple and mindless. Isn't that what Sporcle is all about?"

You should make it with like the highlighted thing(: Sorry for being unspecific. And NO. THE ROOK IS NOT ALSO CALLED A CASTLE. That's what amateurs would call it.

@Jerdoggiedog and cocky: Thanks. @ezois: Apparently, you need Arial MS Unicode. @peanut4: Yea it's really easy. I'm sorry that you couldn't see the pictures. It's not that fascinating or anything like that. @tnty4life: Highlighted thing?

I couldn't see the pictures and still got them all. One thing you could try is get different chess pieces from boards with themes (one example is the Simpsons chess set) then you could have multiple of each piece and it wouldn't be so simple.

To those who can't see the pictures: Any sans-serif Unicode font that contains those symbols will do. Do a Google search, and you should be able to find one; you're looking for one which covers the "Miscellaneous Symbols" block.
