Copernicium is missing as well. You might also add in the unnamed elements (Ununtrium, ununquadium, etc.) under the 'U' letter. Great idea for a quiz though, 5/5 from me

wqlk3 and Walls_of_Jericho: Thanks. The website that I was using apparently did not have all the elements. Thanks again.

Very enjoyable quiz. I'd have liked to see Wolfram as a bonus, but you can't have everything.

I somehow remembered Yttrium and yet forgot Sodium and Calcium. I guess that's what happens when you turn on the "try hard to remember chemistry class" part of your brain and inadvertently turn off the "common sense" part.

Sporclitis: making you think of curium before calcium, and lanthanum before lithium.

ununnilium and unununium not working, had to go with ununquadium (then saw that uranium was the "more obvious response")

@shawnoc: Get an updated periodic table! 110 and 111 were named Darmstadtium and Roentgenium in 2003 and even 112 was named Copernicium in 2010.

Some hilarious comments on this one. On quizzes like these, I wish we could see how many people gave a certain answer per letter. For example, I'd like to know how many people besides me chose "Scandium" instead of "Sodium" for S :)

I for one did get scandium (with a few seconds left after much thought), Retrogirl. I think btw that wolfram should be a valid answer.

@dutchesNclutches If you think of the elements as a complicated list to memorize and not science, it becomes a task and not a whole discipline. To a language-head these names are sort of a language

i lietrally finished with one second left, I wasted a lot of time trying to think of an L element, finally coming up with lanthanum, and of course lithium comes up. I then spent ages thinking of an element for B, completely forgetting Beryllium! Why didn't i remember that part of the table? it's the only bit of the table i actually know!

How can you tell when you've seriously misspent your time as a youth? When you can accurately correct the spelling in Yvonne_india's comment.

i know it's a little technical but i think you should accept "natrium" as an N one. It's the latin name for sodium.

Not only did I try adamantium, wolfram and valium and not get the cheap thrill of seeing them pop up as bonuses, I didn't even get the satisfaction of being the first to comment about them. I gotta start doing these quizzes closer to the publication date. Thanks for the quiz.

@juviejay Byzantium isn't an element. Geranium is a flower, but it's close to Germanium, which is an element.

I was wondering why Kalium didn't work, until I realized there wasn't even a K in the list and remembered Potassium is the English name for it. I seriously need to learn the easy elements, instead of Darmstadtium, Samarium, Gadolinium, Berkelium, Californium and Rutherfordium... Not to mention Praseodymium for the P -_-"
