Nice concept! It would also be really interesting to add an extra column giving some of the stats involved — maybe the number of foreign-born inhabitants of each metro, and the total population?

You're welcome to disagree with my perspective but it's hardly an immature comment. It is a credit to the United States that it is still seen as a place of upward mobility.

You should accept Jeddah as well as Jiddah.

Dallas has about 1.3 million. Does that mean that only 300,000 in Dallas were born in the US? I don't think so. Ditto for San Antonio, Houston, and San Francisco. I doubt if a huge majority were foreign born.

The source says metro area. Change that in your title and your quiz is good.

Japan's immigration policies are among the strictest in the world. Immigration basically doesn't happen in Japan.

@Rooster: people want to live wherever is economically better. That includes all the countries on this list The US has more cities on this list, because the US has more CITIES...i.e. the US has a larger population and more live-able land. In proportion to population, the US actually has fewer immigrants than Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and several European countries. So quit your stupid bragging.
